Our Soldiers
A by-product of the work we undertake is a growing list of WW1 soldiers whose unmarked final resting places have been identified and either have, or are soon to have, a headstone installed. At present, the vast bulk of our soldiers were born in Tasmania and whose final resting place is in a Tasmanian cemetery.
The Headstone Project is very keen to know if any of the information listed against any soldier contains historical or factual errors. If you have any questions about any of the soldiers please use our enquiry form to get in touch. Each story is collated from a variety of sources and, for many of our soldiers, is a work in progress. We are particularly interested in photographs that identify any of our servicemen.
